Holiday Inn St. Augustine - Historic, an IHG Hotel

All in all this was an awesome stay! The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff are quick and friendly. The location feels safe and is very close to the historic district and Bridge of Lions. It's a 10-15 minute drive to St Augustine Beach. I loved all the little details like the extra pillows, Dove soap, towels by the pool, and extra air-conditioning blasts as you exit the elevator and head to your room! There is a parking fee that I was a little surprised about at checkout ($18 a day). It was in the fine print though, I must have just overlooked it. It's totally still worth it for the price.

I liked this hotel because it is so close to the old city. The location is perfect. With the car parked and leaving the bags in the room an evening stroll towards the St Marco's street was made. A perfect evening. The room was clean, bathroom in excellent condition. I was not impressed with the breakfast. Got there around 9am and all the pastries was already gone with no refill.

We’ve been her when it was the old hotel but the remodel and changes made a humongous difference. We started camping instead of staying here as it was not our top choice but now we will be back. We enjoy the free breakfast , clean rooms and the awesome pool to ourselves.

First let me give props where they are earned. Upon checking in the front desk clerk, Caislee, was very nice and accommodating! She gave us a few perks that made our stay more pleasurable. She gave us one of the mere rooms which was very nice. The young man at the bar that afternoon was also very nice & made us some very nice drinks. It's little things that make a stay worth it!

Before we booked our room I read mixed reviews, but decided to take a chance. We were very pleasantly surprised and impressed with the remodeled rooms, cleanliness of the hotel and the friendly, professional front desk staff. The restaurant remodeling will be completed soon, but there are plenty of places to eat within a short walking distance. We would gladly stay here again.

Convenient to the historic district but sits just outside of it. Nice, clean, quiet spot. Nothing special as far as staff. Go to breakfast early as the staff did not keep the bar replenished until more folks showed up. Then, they would cook some more food and refill the bar. Also, they tried to tell us we couldn’t have breakfast tickets since we used our “points” to pay for the room. They conceded to the tickets after a tongue lashing from my husband. So, yeah. I would stay there again though. Every place has its flaws right?

My review will contain the good and the bad The good : The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a very nice location centrally located to restaurants and any tourist attractions The hotel is going on a fully scale renovation so just be prepared to a few inconveniences The normal full breakfast service is unavailable. We were given a sack breakfast which included a couple of pastries along with a banana, apple juice and water. Coffee is still always available. Now the bad Whoever did the renovation in room 214 did a very sloppy job of it as well as whoever inspected the work The exhaust fan in the bathroom barely worked and you can see that it is full of dust The strip on the shower looks like a snake as it is no where near straight Foot prints and marks on baseboards along with a bad caulking job The walls were painted sloppy I’ve added pictures to show these faults in the room Other then this a very enjoyable stay

Definitely ascetically the nicest Hampton I have stayed in. The $20 parking fee for an open lot not that close to historic downtown is a bit much. Feels a bit like a money grab for a hotel that’s already pretty pricey. Other than that it’s your standard Hampton, comfortable beds, clean, decent free breakfast, just a little higher end feeling.
